What Is Invisalign Teen?
Invisalign Teen uses the same comfortable Invisalign aligners, and which are made from clear, BPA-free plastic. They are specifically designed to be easy to insert and remove and are custom-made to fit snugly around teeth. The aligners apply gentle force, producing controlled tooth movements. They are engineered to move teeth effectively and sometimes more quickly compared with conventional braces.
How Does Invisalign for Teens Work?
The aligners are worn all the time and ideally are only removed during mealtimes and for brushing and flossing. Treatment is based on using a series of aligner sets. Teens wear each set of aligners is used for two weeks before discarding them. They then begin to wear the next set in the series. Treatment continues in this way until teeth are fully straightened.
Can Invisalign Teen Treat Complex Bite Problems?
Invisalign Teen uses advanced technologies designed to treat more serious bite problems that would normally have required conventional braces treatment.
What are Special Attachments for Invisalign?
Our dentists can include special attachments, which are small tooth-colored shapes, and these increase the effectiveness of Invisalign treatment. They are attached to teeth before treatment begins, allowing us to achieve more complex tooth movements. The attachments are extremely small and hardly noticeable but allow the aligners to apply the right amount of pressure in the correct direction. Not every teen will need these attachments as their use depends on the tooth movements required.
